Prospective Student Resources

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
  • FINANCIAL AID:
    This office helps student obtain grants, scholarships, loans, Veteran's benefits, and works-study opportunities. They also provide entrance and exit financial counseling. http://financialaid.unlv.edu

  • HOUSING:
    Campus housing provides students with a great venue to network with other students, gives opportunities to join groups and organizations, helps to also ease the transition into college and allow you to meet new friends and have fun! Freshman who are transferring from an out-of-state high school are required to live in on campus housing their first year to help ease the transition between high school and college life. http://housing.unlv.edu. Starting Fall 2005 students will have the option to live in Engineering House, a residence hall floor in Tonopah Hall designated for those students studying Engineering or Computer Science.

  • ORIENTATION:
    Orientation is the beginning of your college experience, filled with great information to make your time at UNLV rewarding and successful. Attending orientation can aid in: meeting other students, networking with representatives from your college, getting familiar with student services and organizations, and have any questions answered by qualified staff or faculty. http://orientation.unlv.edu

  • STUDENT ACTIVITIES:
    Getting involved the campus community and sponsored activities are an important part of college life. UNLV currently has over 120 clubs that students can join. Involvement in clubs and activities helps students adjust to college, develop connections to the school, and build a social network.   • GRAD ASST. APPLICATION/GRADUATE COLLEGE:
    There are some research and teaching opportunities available for graduate students. Please refer to the Graduate College's website for additional information.

  • GPSA:
    The Graduate and Professional Student Association offers fall, spring, and summer research and travel grants, and maintains a working office equipped with a copier, fax, flatbed scanners, color laser printer, typewriter, office supplies, and computers with printers and internet access. The GPSA Council is made up of a representative from each academic department offering a graduate and professional degree
