The long-awaited Security Lab is finally being built. It is located at BSL 272. It is about 900 square foot space, and it can accommodate up to 24 students for various hands-on lab projects. It will host 20 computers, several firewalls, IDS, routers/switches, and wireless networks, forming a separate network dedicated for security-related experiments. This lab is sponsored by Microsoft Research through Trustworthy Computing Curriculum 2004 RFP.

 


Here is the location of the lab. It is at the east corner of the 2nd floor at the BSL building. The access is controlled by Marlok Key card.

We have assembled the furniture on Mar 15. Four students volunteered to assemble them.
