Mar. 19, 2006 The long-awaited Security Lab is finally being built. It is
located at BSL 272. It is about 900 square foot space, and it can accommodate
up to 24 students for various hands-on lab projects. It will host 20
computers, several firewalls, IDS, routers/switches, and wireless networks, forming
a separate network dedicated for security-related experiments. This lab is
sponsored by Microsoft Research through Trustworthy
Computing Curriculum 2004 RFP. Here is the location of the lab. It is at the east corner of the 2nd floor at the BSL building. The access is controlled by Marlok Key card.
Here is the floor plan of the lab.
